Kayak Route A: S'Illot

La Victoria kayaking in Alcudia

An easy route for kayaking in Alcudia is a tour to S‘Illot. You start
at the parking near the La Victoria Campsite and paddle along the rocky coast. Enjoy the beauty of the island: The rough coastline is a stunning contrast to the turquoise-blue water and the mountains compose an impressive backdrop. Below you, you can see the sandy sea floor or patches of Posidonia seaweed meadows in the crystal-clear sea. The area is full of goats, so you might see one or two hopping along the coast.

You continue paddling with your kayak, passing the small beach of Pedra Foguera with a picnic area at the coast. After rounding the next cliff, you hit two more beaches, one of them is Playa de S‘Illot with a little island just a few metres from the beach, S‘Illot. Now you get to enjoy the perks of kayaking: While the beach may get fuller in summer, you just head straight to the islet and enjoy a marvellous view to Cap Formentor in privacy. If you continue five minutes more along the coast, you get to Cova Pasky, a very small beach almost inaccessible by land and with a bit of shade, which also makes for a great place to stop, snorkel and rest.
