Kayak Route B: Punta des Cárritx

A longer route for kayaking in Alcudia is starting from La Victoria
campsite and heading to S‘Illot. On the way (see route A), you pass by smaller coves and the beautiful beach of S‘Illot that‘s perfect for a snorkel stop. Now you continue along the coast, heading around Cap Gros, where you can find a shooting range on land. The coastal rock formation reaches into the sea, creating hidden sea caverns and rock walls.
The bays around are quite small and stony, making them a great spot for passionate snorkellers. The last cape you can round with the kayak before you have to return is Punta des Cárritx. Behind this cliff, you find another cove impossible to reach from the landside, so you‘ll be able to enjoy some privacy while you‘re resting and swimming in the crystal-clear waters. You cannot paddle any further with your kayak, as from there on, the military zone of La Victoria begins, so if you feel up to it, return a bit further away from the shore on the open sea and marvel in the fantastic views of Cape Formentor on the other side of the bay.
